At Subsea UK 2013 JDR, a leading provider of technology connecting the global offshore energy industry, won the 2013 Subsea UK Global Exports Award. The Award recognises excellence in internationalisation and was accepted by JDR’s Chief Executive Officer Andrew Norman at the Awards dinner in Aberdeen.

Andrew Norman, JDR Chief Executive Officer, commented: “I was delighted to accept the Subsea UK Export award on behalf of the JDR team. We were shortlisted alongside very capable competition in Duco Ltd and receiving this award is a significant achievement for JDR.

“JDR has experienced tremendous growth over the last few years, most of which has been in export markets. We have further developed our business in traditional JDR markets such as the UK, Norway and West Africa, extended our growing foothold in the Middle East and established ourselves in new markets, such as Germany and Asia Pacific, including Australia, China and Indonesia.

He continued: “ We have structured our business to grow export revenues. We have facilities based in key markets such as our factory in Thailand and state of the art manufacturing facility in Hartlepool. Hartlepool is situated alongside a deepwater dock adjacent to important shipping routes that run through the North Sea.

“We are fortunate to count many major oil and gas companies as our customers. At the same time we have used our knowledge to create new opportunities for JDR in the offshore renewables market. Our people are totally committed to supporting customers and delivering the technology, products and services they require to make their projects successful.”
