DONG Energy’s new Director of Operations, UK Wind Power, Benj Sykes, will be giving a presentation on the Danish energy company’s offshore wind strategy at 1600 on the second day of the Global Offshore Wind conference (Thursday 14 June) at the DONG Energy stand.
DONG Energy is the global market leader in offshore wind, and is the majority partner, and the developer of the world’s biggest wind farm projects, including the £1 billion Walney 1 & 2 projects offshore Cumbria and the massive London Array project.
Benj will talk about DONG Energy’s enviable record of attracting institutional investment into offshore wind projects – including the first ever pre-construction investment by a pension fund – and will speak about the company’s efforts its work to drive down the cost of offshore wind and to support the development of a UK supply chain.
Benjamin will be available for a short question and answer session and interviews following the presentation, when Danish beers will be served.
