BMT Nigel Gee to Showcase Portfolio of Vessel Designs at Seawork International

BMT Nigel Gee, a subsidiary of BMT Group, will showcase its broad portfolio of vessel designs at this year’s Seawork International which takes place from the 22nd – 24th May in Southampton.

This will be BMT’s 6th year of exhibiting at this prestigious show which will see the organisation’s innovative Turbine Access System (TAS), jointly designed with Houlder Ltd, on display outside the hall at Stand Q29.

Visitors to the show will have the opportunity to engage with BMT’s experienced designers and engineers to better understand the wide range of services the consultancy has to offer for advanced and specialised vessels. Ed Dudson, Technical Director of BMT Nigel Gee comments: “We currently have 11 Windfarm Support Vessels under contract with 6 different shipyards worldwide. Our expertise in the provision of detailed production level design information for a range of high performance vessels is second to none. Seawork provides us with a great opportunity to showcase this important work.”

BMT has established relationships with a large number of shipyards across the globe and recognises that each one has its own individual characteristics. Therefore, it works closely with each shipyard to develop a clear understanding of their production facilities, standards and processes to ensure that the production design is appropriately aligned to meet their specific requirements and allows for a cost effective solution to be delivered.

BMT Nigel Gee is exhibiting on stand A303 at Seawork International 2012.
