China is set to construct its largest offshore wind farm in Leting County, reports Xinhua.
100 wind turbines of 3MW each will be installed at USD 914 million wind farm in Bohai Sea near Puti Island.
This project will harness 300MW of Leting County’s offshore wind resources. China has potential 750GW of offshore wind power, which is three times greater than onshore.
The offshore wind farm is expected to initiate power production by the end of 2015.
