The offshore major project “Global Tech I”, initiated by the AG Windreich is the best wind project of 2011 in Europe.
The internationally renowned magazine “Project Finance International”, PFI, recognized this project as the “Wind Deal of the Year”. The official ceremony of the “PFI Awards” will be on 25 January 2012, in London.
Global Tech I was the first offshore wind project to place 400-megawatt in the financial markets.
“We are very pleased with the PFI Awards 2011 – it is a further incentive for us to connect Global Tech I promptly and successfully to the grid,” the manager Tim Kittel Hake responsible for Global Tech I added.
Global Tech I is one of the most promising offshore projects in the North Sea and it is progressing as planned. In 2012, the offshore wind farm will feed electricity into the grid. By 2013, all 80 5-megawatt turbines will be installed and connected to the grid.
