The largest site for turbine prototyping and certification in Europe is officially opened. The Dutch testing facility, on Wageningen University grounds and operated by Ecofys Wind Turbine Testing Services can service the latest generation turbines with tip heights up to 200 meters. The site provides wind turbine testing services for ten wind turbines with a combined installed power of 30 MW.
Further innovation in wind power industry
The new wind turbine test site in Lelystad provides infrastructure, wind measurements and wind turbine measurements required for turbine certification. The accredited measurement services are provided by Ecofys in collaboration with windtest grevenbroich GmbH. The facilities contribute largely to the further innovation in the wind power industry and are therefore warmly welcomed by the sector.
