Brussels – Belgium Minister of Energy and Climate, Paul Magnette granted concession rights for one of the last offshore wind development zones off the Belgium coast to Seastar.
Seastar is a consortium consisting of green energy company Electrawinds and development company Power@Sea. Both companies will equally share the rights.
The planned 246MW wind farm will be located approximately 38km off the Belgium coast, between the sand banks ‘Bank Zonder Naam’ and Bligh Bank’ where Belwind and Eldepasco are constructing wind farms.
Electrawinds is already involved with the Eldepasco and Rentel projects whilst Power@Sea was one of the initiators of C-Power, Belgium’s first offshore wind farm.
