Abu Dhabi-based Masdar and Norway’s Statoil have signed a collaborative agreement to analyse data from the Batwind battery system designed to store energy generated by the Hywind Scotland floating wind farm.
Masdar has invested GBP 52.5 million (approx. EUR 61 million) in Hywind Scotland Pilot Park, according to Scottish Development International (SDI), as Abu Dhabi’s renewable energy investor agreed with Statoil to take a 25% stake in the project.
Statoil has agreed to divest 25% of its assets in Hywind Scotland pilot park, the world’s first floating wind farm, to Masdar.
