    Prysmian will invest more than EUR 170 million in a new cable laying vessel, the company informed today (14 March), saying the vessel is a strategic asset which will, among other things, strengthen Prysmian’s offshore wind project execution capabilities. The new cable laying vessel is expected to be delivered by the second quarter of 2020.

    Savvy Technologies Ltd, the owner of HiDef Aerial Surveying Inc, will launch a new camera rig on 1 March. According to the company, the new technology is less expensive to produce and will thus decrease the cost of surveying. The current version of the HiDef technology, which has been operating since 2012, will no longer be built.

    South Korea’s President Moon Jae-in, elected last month, today announced plans for the country’s transition to renewables and phase-out of nuclear and coal plants in a speech during the official ceremony of the permanent shutdown of the country’s oldest nuclear power plant.
