C-bed’s accommodation vessel Wind Innovation is servicing the installation and commissioning phases of the Trianel Windpark Borkum II (TWBII) project in Germany.

The DP2 walk-to-work vessel began its deployment at the project site some 45km off the coast of the Borkum island at the end of July.

C-bed is using Eemshaven as the base port for crew change and loading of fresh supplies throughout the project work.

The company said this marks its 25th offshore wind project in Northern Europe since it pioneered in the sector back in 2008.

“We are pleased that C-bed continues to be the preferred choice for offshore accommodation. Since taking delivery of Wind Innovation in 2016, we have continuously felt a strong demand from clients due to her superior operational weather workability, 80 single cabins for technicians, unique cargo handling setup with a sheltered cargo area and our best-in-class accommodation services,” said C-bed’s Managing Director Jesper Nielsen.

Trianel Windpark Borkum II will comprise 32 Senvion 6.2M152 turbines installed on monopile foundations. Jan De Nul’s jack-up Taillevent installed the first turbine on the 200MW offshore wind farm at the beginning of August.
