According to the company, all 87 towers have been pre-assembled for the wind farms at the Port of Esbjerg with the help of crane partner BMS A/S.

Hohe See and Albatros have a combined capacity of 609MW and will comprise 87 Siemens Gamesa 7MW turbines installed on monopile foundations some 95km north of Borkum island.

Fred. Olsen Windcarrier’s jack-up vessel Blue Tern installed the final turbine at Hohe See in mid-August. Shortly after, the first turbine was installed at the Albatros project.

The two wind farms are expected to be commissioned by the end of the year.
