Another Fred. Olsen Windcarrier’s jack-up, Bold Tern, has returned from the Hohe See to the Port of Esbjerg after having installed the first four Siemens Gamesa 7MW turbines at the site some 95km north of Borkum and 100km northwest of Helgoland.

In total, Bold Tern and Blue Tern will transport and install 71 wind turbines on the wind farm.

The commissioning of all of the project’s 71 turbines, as well as the 16 Siemens Gamesa 7MW turbines at the neighbouring Albatros offshore wind farm, is expected to take place by the end of the year.
