The project comprises boulder clearance and extensive survey works at the three cable routes which will connect the Arcadis Ost 1 and Baltic Eagle offshore wind farms to the German high voltage grid.

The scope of work includes the removal of surface boulders between the landfall near Lubmin and the offshore wind farm sites northeast of the island of Rügen.

PMR said it will mobilize a number of its wire crane vessels, as well as its multibeam survey equipment for the project.

Preparations are already underway and the work will be executed this year following receipt of the necessary consents.

“This is a major contract for PMR and we are extremely proud that 50Hertz have selected us for the project. We look forward to a close cooperation with this important client,” said Michael Normann, CEO at PMR.
