“I am honoured to become CEO of Gardline, a company I have long admired for its strong reputation and rich heritage. I am looking forward to working with my new colleagues to make Gardline even more successful and realise its mission of empowering an energy industry in transition with marine surveying that is second-to-none,” said Vermeijden.

“We’re seeing the green shoots of a recovery in offshore exploration and production, and consistent strong growth in offshore renewables. Our partners recognise that Gardline’s marine geophysical, geotechnical, and environmental surveys will be vital for them to succeed in a transforming energy sector.”

Vermeijden joins Gardline from the Norwegian Electromagnetic Geoservices ASA (EMGS), where he also held the CEO position.

Prior to EMGS, Vermeijden was the Global Offshore Geotechnical Director at Fugro N.V and part of the company’s Executive Management Team.

“On behalf of all our colleagues and Boskalis, I would like to extend a warm welcome to Christiaan and wish him success in his new position,” said Eggink.

“With his impressive track record of technical understanding and managerial expertise, I am certain that he is well positioned to build further on the success and reputation of Gardline as we help enable the transformation that is happening in the offshore and subsea energy markets.”

To remind, Royal Boskalis Westminster acquired all shares of Gardline in August 2017.
