Shell Adds to New Energies Recruiter List

Quanta has been awarded a global recruitment framework by Shell’s New Energies business.

As a specialist renewable energy recruitment partner to Shell, the Quanta renewable energy team will deliver both commercial and recruitment services support for Shell’s existing and future renewables portfolio.

With over 15 years of experience in wind, Shell is working to grow their offshore wind portfolio footprint.

Shell recently took final investment decision on the Borselle III & IV wind farm and has invested in the SOT TetraSpar floating foundation demonstration project.

Richard Allen, Quanta’s Senior Global Business Manager – Renewable Energy said: “This contract represents another excellent achievement for Quanta and is further evidence of the success of Quanta’s international growth strategy through value-added partnerships. We look forward to developing a strong and lasting relationship with the Shell team over the coming years.”

The Dutch energy major formed the New Energies division in 2016 and has committed to investing on average USD 1-2 billion annually in New Energies until 2020, including power generation by solar, wind and gas. The company called on the government of the Netherlands to increase its 2030 offshore wind target to 20GW.

Shell has also recently selected Taylor Hopkinson as the preferred recruitment partner for global offshore wind activities.
