Gulliver Gives Living Stone a Hand

The heavy lift vessel Gulliver has installed a 253 t Huisman crane on board DEME Group’s cable laying and multipurpose vessel the Living Stone.

The installation of the crane took place in Vlissingen, the Netherlands.

Scaldis, a subsidiary of DEME, Jan de Nul, and Herbosch-Kiere, took delivery of the fully self-propelled DP2 crane vessel Gulliver in April 2018. Gulliver has since then completed its first offshore wind assignment – the installation of the substation topside on the Norther wind farm in the Belgian North Sea.

The Living Stone arrived in Vlissingen to undergo final outfittings in April 2018. The vessel completed its sea trials in June 2018 in preparation for a cable laying mission on the world’s largest offshore wind farm – the Hornsea Project One.
