According to the Dutch vessel operator, DP Galyna immediately sailed out to Bremerhaven, from where the vessel will depart to a large offshore wind farm to provide support during maintenance work.

Chevalier Floatels said that the contract award comes right after the vessel completed an inspection and maintenance campaign at an oil & gas project in the Dutch North Sea.

DP Galyna and its sister vessel DP Gezina both comprise an Ampelman XL type heave compensated gangway and have low air draft to ensure the safety of the offshore wind turbines, the company said.

The two 70-meter long vessels each provide 38 cabins with 50 beds for client occupancy.
