The country’s first commercial offshore wind farm comprises ten 3MW Doosan wind turbines installed about 0.5 – 1 km offshore Geumdeung-ri on Jeju Island.

Tamra produced its first power in late September of 2016, and the entire wind farm has now been put into full operation following two months of testing.

The power produced by Tamra can cover the electricity needs of some seven thousand Korean households.
