BOEM to Hold New York Intergovernmental Renewable Energy Task Force Meeting

The U.S. Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) will hold an Intergovernmental Renewable Energy Task Force Meeting on 3 October in Riverhead, New York.

The meeting is being held to continue stakeholder engagement related to the development of offshore wind resources on the Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) offshore New York.

BOEM wil update the Task Force and stakeholders on its recent leasing activities on the Outer Continental Shelf, as well as introduce its Request for Feedback and discuss the Path Forward for future leasing activities on the Atlantic.

The Task Force and stakeholders will also be updated on New York’s Offshore Wind Master Plan and study efforts.

The meeting will also provide opportunities for public input on the topics being considered by the Task Force.

The Task Force is an intergovernmental group whose members include Federal officials and elected state, local, and tribal officials, and designated member representatives.
