Full Steam Ahead at Nobelwind: First Turbine Up, OHVS Energized

The OHVS for the Belgian offshore wind project, also known as Belwind 2 or Bligh Bank II, was installed at its destined location in the North Sea in September.

On 22 September, Jan De Nul installed the last foundation at the Nobelwind wind farm, and the company is now installing MHI Vestas 3.3MW turbines.

The Nobelwind offshore wind farmĀ is located 47km from the coast of Belgium in the North Sea. When completed in 2017, the project will produce 651 GWh of clean energy annually, enough to provide energy for over 186.000 Belgian households.
