The debate will be held on April 29 in EWEA’s office in Brussels. The panel discussion will be followed by questions from the audience.

European leaders called on the European Commission to conduct an in-depth study of EU energy security and to present a comprehensive plan for the reduction of EU energy dependence by June 2014. The interconnection of networks, the Southern gas corridor, the diversification of supply, the exploitation of domestic energy sources, energy efficiency, and solidarity among the EU member states will be key elements of the strategy that will be presented to the June Council.

EWEA’s public debate is free of charge and it is also open to members of the press.
