The BlueWeek 2015 is for people from the industry, universities and research institutes working in marine renewable energy. During the BlueWeek2015, all parties can meet for their research projects (JIP, FLOW, TKI, EU) and hear about new research projects.

PROGRAM

On Tuesday the program is all about informing each other on new projects and developments about offshore wind, wave and tidal energy.  Also there is a possibility to pitch a new project idea! The program insists of:

• Inspiring presentations about recent innovations, research strategies and technical challenges with contributions of DNV GL, RWE, Siemens, TENNET, SPT Offshore, Swansea Bay Tidal Lagoon, TKI-WOZ, CarbonTrust, TU Delft. Click here for full program.

– Offshore HVDC platforms and lessons learnt in the German Bight
– Pile installation techniques: the Cuxhaven project: vibrating against impact driving
– Suction buckets, a new wind turbine support structure quickly growing in popularity
– Swansea Bay Tidal Lagoon
– Experiences with NL’s and UK’s subsidy schemes and possibilities within DEMO wind
– A new roadmap for tidal and wave energy
– Academic challenges in offshore wind
– Research agenda from a certifier’s point of view

• Pitches for new research projects (see below for more information)
• Matchmaking
• Tour along Deltares’ test facilities (incl. the new DeltaFlume, the largest wave flume in the world!)

On Monday and Wednesday several project meetings are organized of which many are open to anyone interested. Some projects are still starting up and inviting new participants. For the full program check the BlueWeek website.

NEW PROJECT IDEA? SUBMIT AN ABSTRACT!

The BlueWeek event is a perfect moment to meet the right partners for your project. On Tuesday 21 April is therefor given the possibility to pitch your new project idea. All projects ideas will have the opportunity to present their idea by a poster presentation. The best ideas will be invited to pitch their idea for the full audience of the BlueWeek 2015. Submit your idea on www.blueweek.nl until Wednesday 15 April.

Registration is possible until Wednesday 15 April and the number of places is limited, so sign up today! Create an account on www.blueweek.nl and register for the Marine Renewable Energy Seminar on Tuesday 21 April. You can also register separately for a tour of the facilities, or other open events on Monday and Wednesday. With your personal BlueWeek account you will have easy access to your schedule.
