The Offshore Wind Innovators sees the Dutch offshore wind as a booming market and considers that companies make a significant contribution, especially during the operations and maintenance (O&M) phase. However, according to the community, the companies lack visibility and face serious challenges with market entry, thus the community relies on the Offshore Wind Innovators Award to increase awareness and visibility for a wide audience.

After the submission deadline expired on 7 November, the jury is now going to assess the innovativeness, the social and economic impact, and the entrepreneurship of the applications.

The three finalists will present their solution in front of an expert audience, after which the jury and the audience will choose the most promising innovation, the community said.

The winner will be revealed on 6 December during the Netherlands Offshore Wind Q-meeting.

The finalists will also be invited to speak at the Offshore Wind Seminar on 15 February, with their stories published in the media. In addition to the exposure, the winner will be awarded with a one-day workshop and a mentorship of an industrial partner dedicated to the need of the entrepreneur.

The Offshore Wind Innovators is an initiative of InnovatieLink, TKI Wind op Zee and NWEA.
