Vattenfall Issues Array Cable Tenders for Danish Offshore Wind Farms

Vattenfall has issued two tenders searching for inter-array cable manufacturing and installation on three Danish offshore wind projects: Kriegers Flak, Vesterhav Nord and Vesterhav Syd.

In the first tender, Vattenfall seeks inter-array cable manufacturers which will be responsible for the supply of all required work for the manufacturing corresponding to the requirements specified by the contracting entities.

The second tender refers to array cable installation and implies the supply of all required work for the cable installation corresponding to the requirements specified by the contracting entities.

The beginning of both contracts is 01 January 2019, while both end on 31 December 2021.

The deadline for submitting applications on both tenders is at 09:00 (CET) on 23 October 2017.

Vattenfall recently issued two pre-qualification calls for the supply of monopile foundations and transition pieces for the above projects, as well as tenders for the installation of foundations.

The 600MW Kriegers Flak wind farm comprises 75 wind turbines and is located in the Baltic Sea. It is expected to be commissioned by 2021.

The 350MW Vesterhav Nord and Vesterhav Syd comprise 25 turbines each and are situated in the North Sea. Their construction is planned to start in 2019, with full commissioning scheduled for 2020.
