Same as for the monopiles, the Civil Engineering Manufacturing Transition Pieces (CIM-TP) tender for which the candidates are invited to qualify will be divided into three separate lots. Lot 1 is for Vesterhav Nord and Lot 2 for Vesterhav Syd, with each project comprising up to 25 wind turbines. Lot 3 is dedicated to Danish Kriegers Flak, which will consist of up to 75 offshore wind turbines.

In the tender, Vattenfall will ask the candidates to propose bids either for Lot 1 and Lot 2 together, only for Lot 3, or for all three lots combined. Lot 1 and Lot 2 are separate Lots for separate projects but will be managed and will carry a risk profile as one project.

Under the contract, a tender winner(s) will be in charge of handling all aspects of procurement of all needed materials, accessories, equipment,
components and services required for the supply of the transition pieces, along with the supply of transition pieces itself, including steel and welding works, electrical outfitting, corrosion protection and coating works.

The contractual scope also includes, but is not limited to, storage and transport to a quayside, load-out, preparation of workshop drawings based on a provided design, participation and cooperation in design optimisation process, etc.

The installation at Vesterhav Nord, Vesterhav Syd and Kriegers Flak is expected to be carried out in 2020 / 2021.

The deadline for the submission of applications expires at 16:00 (CET) on 20 October 2017.

Vattenfall will decide on the pre-qualification in November and publish the call for tenders in December 2017.
