Engie to Buy 23 Percent Stake in 1.1GW Moray Offshore Wind Project

French energy giant Engie has agreed to acquire a 23% stake in equity shareholding and outstanding shareholders loans on the Moray Offshore Windfarm (East) Limited (MOWEL) from EDPR UK Limited, a subsidiary of EDP Renováveis S.A.

Blyth Demo Foundations On the Move

The first of the five gravity based foundations built at the Neptune dry dock in Newcastle by the Royal BAM Group for the 41.5MW Blyth Offshore Demonstrator Project has begun its journey along the River Tyne, EDF Energy Renewables said.

Rampion Export Cable Works Heating Up

Works on the export cables which will bring ashore the energy generated by the 400MW Rampion offshore wind farm are scheduled to gather pace in the next couple of weeks, according to a notice to mariners issued by the Newhaven Port Authority.

PUMA Pounces on Rotterdam Offshore Center

The Port of Rotterdam Authority and PUMA, a joint venture between Royal Boskalis Westminster NV and Van Oord NV, signed a contract for the construction of the site of the Rotterdam Offshore Center Maasvlakte 2.

Mini SOUL Jack-Up Put Through Paces

A 1:200 scale model of the SOUL wind turbine installation vessel (WTIV), a joint development of SeaOwls and Ulstein Design & Solutions, is currently being tested at the PEUTZ test facility in the Netherlands.
