The main service will be crew changes to the platform and jack-up vessels on site, the company said.

Flights are expected to begin from mid-June 2017 when the first vessel will be mobilized and last until the completion of the platform installation.

Operations will be conducted from Wiking’s base at the airport of Emden. The company will support this project utilizing its Leonardo AW139 helicopter.

The contract follows up the helicopter services Wiking carried out during the installation of the jacket foundation for the converter station in 2016.

The DolWin gamma offshore platform is a key part of the 900MW DolWin3 offshore grid connection system. It is a daughter platform to the DolWin alpha and will be connected to it via a fixed bridge.
