According to BASF, MasterFlow 9800 is the first truly silo based grout material to receive this type approval in line with the DNV-OS-C502 offshore standard.

The completion of the Certification Scheme for Structural Grouts is proof of the performance of the material for applications and relevant grout properties to be used in the design of offshore grouted connections, typically used in the offshore wind or oil & gas sector, according to BASF.

Luc Westhof, Global Key Account Manager Windpower at BASF, said that the TAC is a written statement by DNV GL that the material has successfully fulfilled all the requirements of the applicable offshore standard, through various material testing programs, full-scale mock-up trials, review of generic procedures as well as an audit at the production facility.
