The area to be surveyed is the electrical grid connection of offshore wind farms within German territorial waters in the Northern Sea to the German onshore extra high voltage transmission network.

Stefan Eliasson, MMT’s CEO, said: “We have worked for TenneT for many years and this contract award is a great acknowledgment on the services we previously have provided to them. We have now included a wide range of vessels such as Stril Explorer, Franklin, SeaBeam and chartered options and together with our team of marine survey experts, we are offering a complete set-up for TenneT’s marine survey projects within this framework.”

MMT has recently been awarded two call-off contracts within the framework agreement, including geophysical and geotechnical services. The work will be conducted with MMT’s ROV and survey vessels Franklin and IceBeam and nearshore vessel SeaBeam.
