The MHU3500S has a 6.5m pile sleeve, powered by 3 MHP 1600 hydraulic power packs in parallel setup. The hammer will be operated from Van Oord’s offshore construction vessel Svanen.

Offshore construction of the 258MW wind farm is scheduled to start in June.

Burbo Bank Extension will comprise 32 MHI Vestas 8MW wind turbines. The wind farm, located 8 kilometres off the coast in Liverpool Bay, UK, is an addition to the operational Burbo Bank offshore wind farm.

The first of 32 8MW turbines will be installed in September, and commissioning is expected to be completed in 2017.
