Norfolk Marine, Geomara Team Up for Offshore Surveys and Inspection

Norfolk Marine, a Specialist Marine Contractor operating vessels, dive teams and Inspection class ROVs, and high resolution hydrographic and geophysical survey company Geomara, have signed a cooperation agreement.

The companies said they will work together to provide an extensive range of interrelated maritime services with a strong focus on efficiencies created through inter-operability capabilities.

Working from Norfolk Marine’s UK Operations Facility in Lowestoft, a full range of survey and inspection services will be offered, including Geophysical, Geotechnical, Archaeological and Environmental.

Geomara Director Eoghan Kieran said: “Geomara is a subsea survey, asset protection and intervention service provider. We work in a number of offshore and nearshore environments worldwide. Our experienced staff have been providing expert advice and services to a large variety of clients in various marine sectors including oil and gas, renewable energy, submarine communications, government and public as well as research and academia, for over 15 years.”

Norfolk Marine Director Johnny Gallagher said: “Norfolk Marine currently operates three vessels within the Offshore Renewables capable of undertaking survey contracts and working with Geomara will allow us to provide clients with a cost effective turnkey solution for all their Surface & Subsea Survey requirements.”
