The works include the construction of the terminal (quay and hinterland), spare anchor, terminal access, and retrofitting protection dyke, along with the associated mitigation measures.

The OTB, to be built in the southern area of Bremerhaven, is a EUR 180 million project that will serve the offshore wind industry. It will have a 500m quay connected with a logistics area of 25 hectares and will be operated by BLG Logistics Group.

In early December 2015, the Authority for the Environment, Construction and Transport gave the green light to build the project.

The commissioning of the terminal is planned for 2019/2020.

Deadline for the submission of tenders is 26 February, 2016.
