Kriegers Flak EIA Goes on Public Consultation

The Danish Energy Agency (DEA) and the national Nature Agency have made the environmental impact assessment (EIA) report for Kriegers Flak offshore wind farm available for public consultation. In line with this, Energinet.dk will hold three public meetings.

Before the construction of the offshore wind farm in the Baltic Sea can start and before it can transport the power into the grid on land, an EIA permit needs to be issued. The Nature Agency has the responsibility for an environmental impact assessment of the technical facilities on land, while DEA is responsible for the offshore part of the EIA process.

In connection with the public consultation, Energinet.dk has invited the public to public meetings on three different locations. At the meetings, people will find out more about the EIA report and facilities to be established at sea and on land. Citizens will also have the opportunity to talk with Nature Agency, the Danish Energy Agency and Energinet.dk on matters that particularly interests them.
