The scope of the partnership covers project management, package management, engineering, engineering management and technical input. The focus is on current UK projects, with the possibility of extending to span a European brief too.

RES will provide this support as part of integrated project teams working alongside Statkraft personnel. RES was chosen as an engineering and project management partner following a wide-ranging industry review, during which RES was judged on capability, experience and company culture.

Statkraft has joint-ownership in a number of projects, including Triton Knoll, which it recently acquired a stake in.

Andy Beetham, Commercial Manager, RES Offshore commented on the partnership:

“We’re delighted to sign the framework agreement with Statkraft which allows us to develop a deeper relationship and to build on previous work we have undertaken for them. We are well matched in terms of culture and we hope this develops in to a long term partnership. A particular focus for the partnership will be to reduce the cost of energy produced by Statkraft’s portfolio”

The agreement is similar to partnerships RES has with other leading Round 3 developers. RES aims to continue forging these partnerships, helping clients looking to bolster their existing capabilities.
