EDF, Dong, WPD Seek Contractors for Wind Turbine Installation on Three French OWFs

Eolien Maritime France, a consortium made of EDF EN France, Dong Energy Power Holding and WPD Offshore GmbH, has issued an invitation to tender for wind turbine installation on three French offshore wind sites.

A contract for each of the three lots will last for six years (72 months) from the date of award. Deadline for submission of tenders or requests to participate is May 28.

The scope of work includes load-out, transportation from assembly hubs to the corresponding offshore sites, and the installation of wind turbines at Fecamp, Courseulles-sur-Mer and Saint-Nazaire’s offshore wind farms.

Assembly facilities are expected to be located in St-Nazaire harbor for the St-Nazaire project and a harbor in Normandy for the Fécamp and Courseulles-sur-Mer projects.

The Fecamp site will comprise 83 wind turbines, Courseulles-sur-mer site 75 wind turbines, and Saint-Nazaire site will feature 80 wind turbines.
