Orga to Showcase Its New Wind Turbine Marking & Lighting System at WindEnergy 2014

Orga Aviation will present its new smart LED obstruction marking and lighting system at the first-ever WindEnergy 2014 trade fair in Hamburg, Germany, from 23–26 September.

Orga to Showcase Its New Wind Turbine Marking & Lighting System at WindEnergy 2014

With 40 years of experience and knowledge in design, developing and manufacturing smart obstruction lights, Dutch company Orga has taken obstruction marking and lighting solutions to new heights. Developed to ensure safe navigation around wind farms and to provide safe access to wind turbines for maintenance, Orga has used advanced LED optical technologies and precision engineering to produce an obstruction marking and lighting solution which meets all national and international regulations, delivers optimum performance and lowers the total cost of ownership.

The new Orga smart obstruction marking and lighting system comprises:

Orga Control Panel (CIP400) – comes complete with Ethernet connection and enables improved communication with and between all Orga obstruction marking products. Easy to connect to your own communication system, the new controller’s compact size also saves space. The Orga CIP400 control panel is designed to work with:

Orga Medium-Intensity LED Obstruction Light (L550) – 50% lighter than Orga’s previous L450 model and features built-in intelligence based on the latest LED optical technology, maximising both intensity and colour output. Reflective optics ensure light output is tightly focused, limiting ground scatter and reducing light pollution. The L550 also comes IR-prepared.

Orga Low-Intensity LED Obstruction Tube Light (L30) – easily mounted from the inside of the mast, reducing installation and maintenance costs. The design also reduces the potential impact of lightning to virtually nil as connection cables run through the inside of the mast.

Matthieu Scheffers, Business Manager for obstruction lighting at Orga, said: “Orga Aviation works hard to keep ahead of emerging technologies so that we can give our customers the sustainable competitive advantage they need in the wind industry. Our investment in new technology and product research reflects our commitment to continue to produce innovative and precision-engineered obstruction lighting systems to help minimise capital costs and costs of ownership.”
