OWI-Lab’s Researcher Becomes Member of TP Wind Platform

One of OWI-Lab’s researchers Dr. Ir. Jan Helsen has became a member of the TP Wind Platform, Working Group 2 – Wind Power Systems.

This Working Group focuses on aspects enabling costs reductions on the wind turbine side (onshore and offshore). Key areas in this subject may include: materials, drive-trains, blades, O&M and wind turbine design and efficiency increase.

A Working Group is composed of a small number of high-level persons willing to participate to the work of the Technology Platform. Working Groups members are selected from a call of expression of interest launched by the Secretariat. Selection is performed by the Steering Committee based on objective criteria.
