Dillinger Hütte Delivers Steel for Teesside Monopiles

Dillinger Hütte supplied around 16,000 tons of, essentially thermo-mechanically rolled, heavy plates in thicknesses up to 85 mm for the Teesside Offshore wind farm monopile foundations.

EDF Energy Renewable officially opened the wind farm located in northeastern England on 16th April 2014.

The 27 installed turbines have the capacity to produce 62 MW of electricity to power up to 40,000 households.

They are mounted on monopile foundations in water depths of up to 18 m.
