The European Investment Bank (EIB) has announced the launch of a programme, through which it will provide EUR 750 million for the implementation of renewable energy projects to take place between 2014 and 2016 on the entire French territory.

Selected sites will develop wind, solar, hydro and geothermal energy. The beneficiaries of this funding can be either public or private entities that will have access to favorable financial conditions.

This funding will be implemented through EIB’s collaboration with Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking, Credit Agricole and BPCE Group (Banque Populaire, Caisse d’Epargne, Credit Cooperative, Natixis SA and Natixis Energeco).

Partner banks will be responsible for project selection and allocation of financing.
