AREG to Preview Strategic Opportunities at All-Energy 2014

Aberdeen Renewable Energy Group (AREG) is to host a pre-briefing event on Thursday, March 6, aimed at providing a strategic insight into how to get the most out of the UK’s largest, annual renewables trade conference and exhibition.

All-Energy 2014 takes place on May 21 and 22 at Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC). To help ensure that local companies and organisations maximise the business opportunities arising from the event, AREG – in conjunction with All-Energy organisers, Reed Exhibitions – are holding the free-to-attend briefing on March 6.

The event at the AECC will start at midday with a presentation from Jonathan Heastie, global renewables director of Reed Exhibitions. This will be followed by an exhibitors’ briefing at 1pm for companies and organisations which have already secured exhibition space to showcase their capabilities and services.

Morag McCorkindale, chief operating officer at AREG, said: “This is an ideal opportunity for those companies and organisations that are exhibiting or considering having a presence at All-Energy to find out how this event can benefit their business.

“We will be outlining the strategy to promote and grow the show, important new features being introduced this year as well as the active marketing campaign to promote All-Energy and the wide range of important delegates from the world of renewables expected to attend.”

Next week’s briefing will also include an overview of AREG’s involvement and support of All-Energy since the conference and exhibition was first established more than 12 years ago in Aberdeen as well as that of how other companies can be involved.

In addition, AREG will be inviting organisations from around the globe to attend its wave and tidal seminar on May 20 and its lively networking event on the same evening – the International Trade Reception – as well as providing an insight into other sector briefings, networking opportunities and supply chain development initiatives.

Ms McCorkindale said: “As always and since the outset of All-Energy, Aberdeen City and Shire will be strongly represented at this year’s event which has always proven an excellent platform for showcasing the region’s impressive renewables’ capabilities and know-how as well as making vital new business leads and contacts.

“Through our pre-briefing event, AREG wants to continue building on this by further facilitating knowledge sharing, international networking, business opportunities and sector development across the renewables’ spectrum.”

Last year, All-Energy attracted more than 760 attendees from 48 countries and over 600 exhibitors. All-Energy continues to grow year after year, highlighting the rising global demand for renewable energy skills, products and services.
