UK: Zarafa Trains Technicians on Vestas' Suspended Access Platform

Zarafa, a member of the Team Humber Marine Alliance, has trained Vestas’ technicians to work on MW1000 suspended access platform for blade inspection and repair.

Vestas Wind Services has chosen Zarafa to perform a two-day training course at Barrow Offshore Wind Farm. It included theoretical and practical tests on installing and operating the MW1000 platform on V90 type wind turbines.

Vestas designed and commissioned the MW1000 suspended access platform to provide a convenient and safe working platform for all technicians regardless of their rope access ability.

Suspended access is a cost effective and safe solution to access problems for a wide range of sectors including construction industry, offshore oil and gas, power generation and shipping.
