USA: Principle Power to Host Town Hall Meeting

USA Principle Power to Host Town Hall Meeting

Principle Power, a renewable energy technology developer, will host a public meeting to introduce to the community the proposed WindFloat Pacific Demonstration Project, writes Bandon Western World.

The meeting will be held on Monday, September 23 at the North Bend Public Library, North Bend, Oregon.

The WindFloat is a floating foundation which could be installed with minimum impact on the ocean.

Principle Power plans to deploy five semi-submersible floating foundations with 6MW wind turbines around 15 miles offshore Coos Bay, for which they have received $4 million financial award from the U.S. Department of Energy.

Besides Principle Power, representatives of Bureau of Ocean Energy Management and Pacific Northwest National Laboratory of Seattle will also attend this meeting.
