Germany: Sandbank Requires Contractors for Offshore Wind Farm Monopile Installations

Sandbank Offshore Wind GmbH requires contractors for offshore wind farm monopile installations. The wind farm is located in the German Bight, 90 km west of the island of Sylt, in the German Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ).

The location provides water depths between 25 and 34 metres. The Sandbank project is equipped with an irrevocable permit. In a first construction phase 288 MW will be achieved.

The total scope of works includes the manufacturing, fabrication, procurement of steel, transportation to the base harbour of the monopiles and transition pieces for the wind turbines.

Again, this total scope of works will be divided into 2 similar lots, each containing the same scope of work. The separate contract value of these lots is foreseen to be comparable to each other.

The scope of works of the tender includes marine construction, installation, transportation, including harbour facilities of the monopiles and transition pieces for the wind turbines. This also includes an installation vessel.
